Bruce F. Mandella, P.E.

Bruce Mandella, P.E. is a Project Manager and joined WL Port-Land Systems in 2005. As Project Manager, Bruce is responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of project execution, including design engineering, equipment specifications, installation and construction packages, purchasing and field construction. Some notable projects include several very successful large turnkey constructed feed mill projects with inherent site related issues and rail construction, grain and fly ash storage silos, and feed mill expansion/renovation projects. These projects were constructed with emphasis placed on safety, quality, schedule, and customer satisfaction.
He has been involved in engineering, construction and project management in bulk materials handling and site development for both domestic and foreign projects since 1968. Bruce has managed numerous projects, serving as senior project manager and director of contract engineering and administration in the past for Dravo Corporation Engineering Works Division, Svedala, and Metso Minerals. During his over 25 year history and tenure with these related companies, Bruce has supervised the design and construction of individual pieces of bulk material handling equipment, turnkey transfer/export terminals, and power plant material handling systems. With coal being the primary bulk materials handled, bulk materials handling equipment includes conveying systems, rotary car dumpers and train positioners, stacker/reclaimers, barge loaders and unloaders, and ship loaders and unloaders. Other bulk products handled include limestone, iron, ore, sulfur and phosphate.
Bruce is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. He is a Licensed Professional Structural Engineer and has authored several published articles and presented papers in the bulk materials handling industry.
